What we make
Calculate My Pool is a set of free tools for the questions that come up around a pool, a hot tub or a fish tank: how many gallons it holds, how much salt, shock, acid or baking soda to add, how big a heater and pump to buy, what a new pool costs, and how much water, sand and weight a tank puts on the stand. Each one gives you the amount in cups, ounces, pounds, bags or jugs, in gallons or litres.
How we work
Every calculator is written and checked by our editorial team. Formulas and target ranges come from water-chemistry references, industry standards, government health guidance, manufacturer data sheets and university extension services. We link those sources on the page, show the math with your own numbers, and date every review. The full process is on how we calculate.
